Requires law enforcement agencies to release all reports, including witness statements and criminal history record information, to the attorney general within 14 business days of a request related to crime victims' compensation applications

Information released to the attorney general is used to determine whether a claimant or victim qualifies for a compensation award and the extent of that qualification

Adds a new provision exempting information received by the attorney general under this process from disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act (Government Code Chapter 552)

Takes effect September 1, 2025
