Repeals Chapter 809 of the Texas Government Code, which restricts state contracts with financial companies that boycott energy companies

Repeals Chapter 2276 of the Texas Government Code, which requires government contractors to verify they do not boycott energy companies

Removes existing state law restrictions that prohibit government entities from contracting with companies that discriminate against or boycott fossil fuel companies

Takes effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds vote in both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
