Extends the statute of limitations for improper relationship between educator and student (Section 21.12, Penal Code) from 3 years to 10 years from the date of the offense

Reorganizes and renumbers multiple subsections within Article 12.01 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to incorporate amendments from 11 different bills passed during the 88th Legislature (2023)

Clarifies that trafficking offenses involving children under Section 20A.02(a)(5) or (6) have a 20-year limitation period measured from the victim's 18th birthday

Does not revive prosecutions for offenses that were already barred by the statute of limitations before the Act's effective date

Takes effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds vote in both chambers, otherwise becomes effective September 1, 2025
