TX SB2103

Requires public drinking water supply systems to issue boil water notices within 12 hours of learning about rule violations or situations that create significant potential for serious adverse effects on human health

Mandates that if the violation or situation remains unresolved 72 hours after the initial notice, the system must reissue the boil water notice with a description of actions being taken to address the problem

Allows boil water notices to be issued through any direct communication method that complies with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (42 U.S.C. Section 300f et seq.)

Adds new Section 341.043 to Subchapter C, Chapter 341 of the Health and Safety Code

Takes effect September 1, 2025
