TX SB2151

Modifies the countywide polling place program to require polling places be established at each county election precinct, rather than allowing counties to eliminate precinct polling places in favor of fewer consolidated locations

Requires each countywide polling place to be provided with a poll list for the entire county, allowing voters to cast ballots at any precinct location in their county

Applies to county elections, joint elections, elections held under contract for election services, and primary/runoff elections (with agreement from political party county chairs or executive committees)

Repeals Sections 43.007(f), (g), (h), (m), and (n) of the Election Code, which previously governed aspects of the countywide polling place program

Takes effect September 1, 2025
