Requires the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to establish and maintain a training program on opioid overdoses for peace officers

Training must cover recognizing signs and symptoms of opioid overdose and administering all types of opioid antagonists, including injectable and nasal forms

Adds opioid overdose training to the minimum curriculum requirements for new peace officers beginning January 1, 2026

Mandates opioid overdose training as part of officers' continuing education during each 24-month training unit

Takes effect September 1, 2025, with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement required to adopt implementing rules as soon as practicable
