Redirects filing fee payments for candidates seeking nomination by convention from the secretary of state to the state chair for statewide or district offices

Changes the recipient of filing fees and petitions in lieu of fees for county or precinct offices from the county judge to the county chair

Allows candidates to alternatively submit a petition in lieu of a filing fee to the appropriate state or county chair

Repeals Sections 181.0311(c) and (d) of the Election Code

Takes effect September 1, 2025
