Prohibits school districts and open-enrollment charter schools from disciplining, retaliating against, or discriminating against employees who report misconduct in good faith

Protects employees who report allegations of misconduct as described in Section 22.093(c)(1)(A) or (B) of the Education Code (relating to educator misconduct involving students)

Allows reports to be made to the school district, charter school, law enforcement agencies, or any other appropriate authority

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
