Requires school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to provide written notice to all parents/guardians of enrolled students when an investigation reveals reason to believe an educator engaged in certain misconduct (as defined in Section 21.006(b)(2)(A-1)) with a student

Notice must be sent by mail, unless the school board or governing body determines mailing costs are too expensive, in which case email notification is permitted

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
