Creates a new criminal offense for carrying partially or wholly visible weapons on public library premises, overriding existing handgun carry provisions in Section 46.02(a-5)

Prohibits visible location-restricted knives, clubs, and prohibited weapons listed in Section 46.05(a) from being carried in public libraries

Bans visible handguns in public libraries regardless of whether the handgun is holstered or whether the carrier has a license to carry under Chapter 411, Government Code

Takes effect September 1, 2025
