Exempts advanced nuclear reactors from the requirement that interconnection cost overages (amounts exceeding the transmission-owning utility allowance) be directly assigned to and collected from the generator connecting to the ERCOT grid

Defines "advanced nuclear reactor" as a fission-based reactor in three categories: large reactors (400-1400 megawatts), small modular reactors (50-400 megawatts), or microreactors (less than 50 megawatts)

Shifts excess interconnection costs for advanced nuclear reactors away from the nuclear generator, meaning these costs would instead be socialized across the transmission system

Amends Section 35.004(d-2) of the Texas Utilities Code to create this carve-out specifically for nuclear generation resources
