Requires elevators, escalators, and related equipment to be inspected or removed in accordance with state law when a granted delay for compliance expires or when a requested delay for compliance is denied

Requires elevators, escalators, and related equipment to be inspected or removed when a requested waiver of compliance is denied

Mandates the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation to require reinspection or recertification of equipment no later than the expiration date of a granted compliance delay for violations found in annual inspection reports

Removes the previous discretionary authority allowing reinspection when violations continued beyond a granted delay period, replacing it with a mandatory reinspection requirement

Effective date is September 1, 2025, with the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation required to adopt necessary implementing rules
