Amends Section 113.0003 of the Business & Commerce Code regarding peer-to-peer car sharing programs

Removes a provision that stated the chapter should not be construed to have implications affecting other statutes related to motor vehicle regulation, airport regulation, or taxation

Preserves existing protections stating the chapter does not limit liability of car sharing programs for their own acts or omissions causing injury

Maintains provisions allowing car sharing programs to seek contractual indemnification from vehicle owners or drivers for economic losses from agreement breaches

Preserves insurers' rights to exclude coverage for vehicles used for rent/sharing, underwrite policies, and cancel or decline policy renewals

Takes effect September 1, 2025
