Restricts school districts to using unspent general obligation bond proceeds only for the specific purposes for which the bonds were originally authorized or to retire the bonds

Eliminates the previous option allowing school districts to redirect unspent bond proceeds to other purposes after the original purposes were accomplished or abandoned

Removes the provision that permitted school board trustees to approve alternative uses of unspent bond proceeds through separate votes at a dedicated public meeting

Repeals Sections 45.1105(b) and (c) of the Education Code, which contained additional provisions related to the use of unspent bond proceeds

Applies only to general obligation bonds authorized at elections held on or after September 1, 2025
