Eliminates the "reasonable impediment" declaration option that previously allowed voters without photo ID to vote by presenting an alternative form of identification and signing a declaration explaining why they could not obtain photo ID

Requires all voters to present one form of photo identification listed in Section 63.0101(a) of the Election Code when offering to vote at a polling place, with no alternative identification options

Removes the prohibition on election officers questioning the reasonableness of impediments sworn to by voters, as the reasonable impediment process is being eliminated

Removes requirements for election forms to include space for indicating whether a voter executed a reasonable impediment declaration, and removes the declaration from the list of forms requiring translation into languages other than English or Spanish

Applies to elections ordered on or after September 1, 2025
