Allows junior college district boards to adopt a resolution providing that trustee candidates may win by plurality vote (most votes) rather than requiring a majority

Requires the board resolution to be adopted no later than 180 days before the election date to take effect for that election

Once adopted, a plurality voting resolution remains in effect for all subsequent elections until the board rescinds it

Rescission of a plurality voting resolution must also occur at least 180 days before the first election to which the rescission would apply

Effective date: September 1, 2025
