Extends protections under the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children to children of retired veterans for four years after retirement, if the veteran returns to their home of record on military orders

Extends the same compact protections to children of uniformed service members who die on active duty or from injuries sustained on active duty, for four years after the member's death

Defines uniformed services to include Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps

Requires school districts and open-enrollment charter schools with websites to post easily accessible information about the compact and these additional protections

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, with immediate effect if passed by two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025 otherwise
