Increases the minimum administrative penalty for superintendents, directors, or principals who fail to report educator misconduct from $500 to $1,000

Maximum penalty remains at $10,000 for failure to file required reports about an educator's criminal record or alleged misconduct by the required deadline

State Board for Educator Certification may not renew the certification of an educator who has an unpaid administrative penalty imposed under this section

Applies to superintendents and directors required to file misconduct reports and principals required to notify superintendents/directors about educator criminal records or misconduct allegations

Effective date: September 1, 2025
