Expands permissible uses of school safety allotment funds under the Foundation School Program to include the purchase and maintenance of mobile metal detectors

Maintains existing allowable uses including security infrastructure improvements, perimeter fencing, door and window upgrades, security cameras, and communication technology

Continues to permit funding for security personnel including school district peace officers, private security officers, school marshals, and school resource officers through local law enforcement collaboration

Preserves allowable expenditures for mental health support, licensed counselors, social workers, chaplains, threat reporting systems, and suicide prevention programs

Takes effect September 1, 2025
