Renames the "Center for Elimination of Disproportionality and Disparities" to the "Office for Health Equity" within the Health and Human Services Commission

Expands the populations covered to explicitly include women, age brackets, and linguistic groups, in addition to racial, multicultural, ethnic, disadvantaged, and regional populations

Adds new powers including coordinating with local health authorities to investigate health disparities, monitoring behavioral health and mortality trends, and publishing investigation results on a public website

Requires the office to examine how social determinants (education, criminal justice, housing, economic opportunity, environment) contribute to health disparities

Mandates collaboration between the commission and the office on provider contracts, with the office advising on and assisting providers in implementing health equity programs and strategies

Effective date: September 1, 2025
