Counties with populations exceeding 2,500,000 persons must provide election materials printed in Vietnamese, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, and French, in addition to any languages already required by federal law

Election administrators in counties with more than 2,500,000 population are granted discretion to provide election materials in additional languages beyond those mandated

The Secretary of State must prepare translations for state-prescribed voter forms in required non-English/non-Spanish languages, including voter registration applications, ballot by mail applications, provisional ballot affidavits, and voting instruction posters

The requirement applies to eight specific form types plus any additional voter forms the Secretary of State identifies as frequently used

Effective date is September 1, 2025
