Requires courts to issue orders at the close of each permanency hearing for children in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS)

Orders must be based on the court's review of the permanency progress report and evidence presented by parties entitled to participate in the hearing

Courts must render orders found to be in the best interest of the child, including orders necessary to ensure DFPS is fulfilling its obligations as managing conservator

Applies only to suits affecting the parent-child relationship filed on or after the effective date; existing cases remain governed by prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
