Health facilities licensed by the Health and Human Services Commission must conduct employment verification for all job applicants before offering them a position

Facilities must contact previous employers listed on applications specifically for positions where the applicant would provide services to children or vulnerable adults, or handle state money

Health facilities may contract with qualified third parties to conduct the required employment verifications

The executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission may adopt rules to implement these requirements

Effective date is September 1, 2025
