Removes the exception that allowed employers to consider race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, or disability in employment decisions when combined with objective job-related factors to achieve workforce diversity

Eliminates the requirement for state agencies to incorporate workforce diversity programs into their personnel selection procedures, while retaining the general requirement to comply with employment discrimination laws

Repeals Section 21.121 and Subchapter J of Chapter 21 of the Labor Code (provisions related to affirmative action and workforce diversity programs)

Takes effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds vote in both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect January 1, 2025
