Establishes a $5,000 per-election limit on campaign contributions from individuals to candidates for statewide office or the legislature, including contributions to specific-purpose committees supporting or opposing such candidates

Sets a $10,000 per-election limit on campaign contributions from political committees to candidates for statewide office or the legislature

Reduces the contribution limit from general-purpose committees to statewide judicial candidates from $25,000 to $10,000 per election

Maintains the existing $5,000 contribution limit from general-purpose committees to non-statewide judicial candidates

Applies only to contributions made on or after September 1, 2025, with pre-existing contributions governed by prior law and not aggregated with post-effective date contributions
