Texas Education Agency must conduct a study on recommended standards for school district facility maintenance and custodial services, including appropriate custodial workloads

Study must consider square footage of typical elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as administrative and district facilities

Study must identify staffing needs, required tasks with time estimates for completion, and any additional funding or resources needed to meet recommended standards

TEA must submit a report with study results and recommendations to the legislature by December 1, 2026

Act takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025 otherwise, and expires September 1, 2027
