Allows hydrogen-fueled vehicles to exceed standard weight limitations by the difference between the weight of a hydrogen tank/fueling system and a comparable diesel tank/fueling system

Sets an absolute maximum gross weight cap of 82,000 pounds for hydrogen-fueled vehicles or vehicle combinations, regardless of the allowance

Applies to vehicles or vehicle combinations powered by engines fueled primarily by hydrogen

Takes effect September 1, 2025, but only if Congress or a federal agency first authorizes hydrogen-fueled vehicles to exceed federal weight limits on interstate highways

Has no effect if federal authorization for hydrogen vehicle weight exceptions is not enacted
