Expands reimbursable expenses for court-appointed attorneys in noncapital criminal cases to include travel, food, and lodging costs when visiting defendants confined in correctional facilities located more than 50 miles from the court

Adds reimbursement for costs associated with remote confidential communications with defendants held in distant facilities

Maintains existing reimbursement categories for investigation expenses and mental health/other expert costs

Excludes public defender's office attorneys from these reimbursement provisions

Applies only to expenses incurred on or after September 1, 2025
