Amends Section 39.06 of the Texas Penal Code to create tiered felony penalties for misuse of official information based on the amount of financial gain obtained

Third degree felony applies when net pecuniary gain is less than $150,000

Second degree felony applies when net pecuniary gain is $150,000 or more but less than $300,000

First degree felony applies when net pecuniary gain is $300,000 or more

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies only to offenses committed on or after that date
