Expands Texas "Move Over or Slow Down" law (Section 545.157, Transportation Code) to include two additional categories of protected vehicles on highways

Adds vehicles operated by animal control officers removing animals or animal carcasses from roadways, and individuals authorized to dispose of animal carcasses under Health and Safety Code Section 361.117, when using compliant visual signals

Adds vehicles operated by local authority employees issuing parking citations when using visual signals that meet state standards and specifications

Existing protected vehicles include stationary emergency vehicles, tow trucks, TxDOT vehicles, utility service vehicles, municipal solid waste trucks, and toll project vehicles

Takes effect September 1, 2025; passed Senate 27-3 on April 10, 2025, and House 127-20 on May 7, 2025
