Expands the definition of "facility" under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 331 (workplace violence prevention requirements) to include intermediate care facilities for individuals with an intellectual disability licensed under Chapter 252

Adds state supported living centers as defined by Section 531.002 to the list of facilities subject to workplace violence prevention requirements

Broadens coverage for home and community support services agencies by removing the limitation that they must specifically provide "home health services" - now includes all agencies licensed or licensed and certified under Chapter 142 that employ at least two registered nurses

Requires newly covered facilities (home and community support services agencies, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and state supported living centers) to comply with workplace violence prevention requirements by September 1, 2026

Takes effect September 1, 2025; passed the Senate 31-0 on April 24, 2025 and the House 145-0 on May 7, 2025
