Electric utilities providing delivery services may request proprietary customer information (name, phone number, email, home address) from retail electric providers to communicate with customers about emergencies, service interruptions, or restoration

Retail electric providers must provide requested customer information within 48 hours and are not required to obtain prior customer authorization before sharing the data

Electric utilities may share the customer information with third parties without prior customer authorization when necessary for emergency, interruption, or restoration communications

Entities receiving customer information must implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical data security practices including encryption and secure storage to protect confidentiality and integrity

Customer information may not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for the emergency, interruption, or restoration communications
