Adds officers commissioned by the Health and Human Services Commission's Office of Inspector General to the official list of peace officers in Texas under Article 2A.001, Code of Criminal Procedure

Requires these peace officers to be compensated according to Schedule C of the position classification salary schedule prescribed by the General Appropriations Act

Makes these officers eligible for hazardous duty pay by including them in the definition of "state employee" under Section 659.301, Government Code

Extends injury-related leave benefits to these officers by adding them to the list of commissioned law enforcement officers covered under Section 661.918, Government Code

Takes effect September 1, 2025, with position classification changes applying beginning with the state fiscal biennium starting that date
