Texas would observe daylight saving time year-round, eliminating the biannual clock changes in spring and fall

The year-round daylight saving time requirement applies to both portions of Texas that use central standard time and mountain standard time

If a court determines federal law does not authorize Texas to implement permanent daylight saving time, the provision would automatically take effect once Congress passes legislation permitting states to observe daylight saving time year-round
