Extends the statute of limitations for recovering real property held under adverse possession with title or color of title from 3 years to 97 years

Increases the limitations period from 5 years to 98 years for suits to recover property held by someone who cultivates/uses the property, pays applicable taxes, and claims it under a registered deed

Extends the limitations period from 10 years to 99 years for recovering property held by someone who cultivates, uses, or enjoys the property

Repeals Section 16.027 of the Civil Practice and Remedies Code (the existing 25-year adverse possession limitations period)

Takes effect September 1, 2025
