Requires the Department of Public Safety's annual report (due December 1) to include not only evidence collection kits awaiting laboratory analysis, but also kits that law enforcement agencies failed to take possession of within required timeframes

Mandates the annual report be titled "Statewide Electronic Tracking System Report" and posted on the department's public website

Adds a new requirement for sexual assault response teams to include in their biennial reports to county commissioners courts the number of evidence collection kits that law enforcement failed to collect within required deadlines

Passed the Texas Senate 31-0 on April 2, 2025, and the House 140-0 on May 1, 2025

Takes effect September 1, 2025
