Eliminates the statute of limitations for all sexual assault offenses under Section 22.011 and all aggravated sexual assault offenses under Section 22.021 of the Texas Penal Code, allowing prosecution at any time regardless of when the offense occurred

Removes previous limitations that only applied "no limitation" status to specific subcategories of sexual assault, such as cases involving child victims or cases with untested DNA evidence

Deletes the former 10-year statute of limitations for sexual assault cases not otherwise covered, as well as the 2-year limitation for state jail felony sexual assault cases

Does not apply retroactively to offenses where prosecution was already barred by the previous limitation period before the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
