Requires inpatient mental health facilities, treatment facilities, and hospitals providing comprehensive medical rehabilitation services to provide 8 hours of initial inservice training for new employees on identifying patient abuse, neglect, and illegal, unprofessional, or unethical conduct

Reduces annual continuing training requirement for existing employees from 8 hours to 3 hours of inservice training on the same topics

Training requirement applies as a condition of continued licensure for covered facilities

Takes effect September 1, 2025, with provisions applying only to training provided on or after that date
