Authorizes county commissioners courts to contract with municipalities or emergency services districts located within the county for administration and enforcement of the county fire code

Allows emergency services districts that have adopted their own fire code to enter into interlocal agreements with the county to take over all or part of the county's fire code enforcement authority

Requires county fire marshals to delegate fire code administration and enforcement to municipalities or emergency services districts when the commissioners court has entered into such contracts

Removes previous language that allowed municipalities to independently contract with counties, shifting contracting authority to the commissioners court

Takes effect September 1, 2025
