Reduces the interest rate on delinquent child support from 6% to 3% simple interest per year for amounts exceeding the monthly periodic support obligation

Lowers the interest rate on child support arrearages that have been confirmed and reduced to money judgment from 6% to 3% simple interest per year

Decreases the interest rate on money judgments for retroactive or lump-sum child support from 6% to 3% simple interest per year

New interest rates apply to child support payments due on or after January 1, 2026, and to money judgments rendered on or after that date

For arrearages existing before January 1, 2026, the prior interest rate applies until that date, after which the new 3% rate takes effect on the cumulative total
