Requires large companies (generating at least $100 billion in total revenue, or more than 25% owned by such entities) that use AI to provide services to Texas residents to publicly disclose information about their AI systems

Mandates disclosure of each AI model's name, its functions and purposes, names of third parties who provided input on the model, descriptions of that input, and any changes made based on third-party input

Defines artificial intelligence as machine-based systems that make predictions, recommendations, or decisions influencing real or virtual environments using automated analysis and modeling

Applies to AI services including answering questions, gathering/summarizing information, generating text/audio/visual content, and providing information for lending, underwriting, risk assessment, investing, or hiring decisions

Classifies violations as deceptive trade practices enforceable under Texas law, prohibits retaliation against whistleblowers, requires cooperation with attorney general investigations, and takes effect September 1, 2025
