Creates a new definition for "school bus infraction detection system" as a camera system with two or more sensors affixed to a school bus that produces video and photographic images to detect illegal passing violations

Exempts school bus infraction detection systems operated by school districts or open-enrollment charter schools from the existing state ban on photographic traffic signal enforcement systems (red light cameras)

Allows municipalities, counties, school districts, and open-enrollment charter schools to issue civil or criminal citations for illegally passing a school bus based on recorded images from these school bus camera systems

Effective date: September 1, 2025
