Requires managed care plan issuers to treat chiropractors as in-network participating providers for payment purposes while their credentialing application is pending, allowing them to collect copayments and receive network-rate reimbursements

Applies only to chiropractors who join an established professional practice that already has a contract with the managed care plan and who are licensed and in good standing with the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners

Allows managed care plan issuers to exclude chiropractors undergoing expedited credentialing from provider directories and website listings until full credentialing approval

Permits issuers to recover the difference between in-network and out-of-network payment rates from chiropractors or their practices if credentialing is ultimately denied

Protects enrollees from additional charges if a chiropractor fails credentialing, prohibiting the chiropractor from billing patients for any unpaid portion of fees
