Grants ringside physicians immunity from civil liability for acts performed within the scope of their responsibilities at combative sports events

Immunity does not apply to acts or omissions constituting gross negligence by the physician

Adds new Section 2052.255 to Subchapter F, Chapter 2052 of the Occupations Code

Applies only to legal actions commenced on or after the effective date

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025; passed Senate 31-0 on March 19, 2025 and House 141-1 on May 12, 2025
