Removes the requirement for the Hearing Instrument Fitters and Dispensers Advisory Board and the Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Advisory Board to assist in adopting rules for hearing instrument sales, leaving only a single advisory board to assist the commission

Eliminates the continuing education exemption for license holders who were licensed for the first time during the 24 months before the reporting date, retaining only the exemption for those with documented serious illness or disability

Allows any licensed physician (not just ear specialists) to provide the required medical evaluation statement for hearing instrument sales to persons under 18 years of age, while recommending an ear specialist be used "whenever practicable"

Maintains existing consumer protections including requirements for written contracts, record retention, 30-day trial periods with cancellation rights, and plain language disclosures for hearing instrument purchases

Takes effect September 1, 2025, with amendments applying only to conduct occurring on or after that date
