Requires the Texas Medical Board to comply with public information requests made by members, committees, or agencies of the legislature under Section 552.008 of the Government Code, notwithstanding other provisions in the medical board's governing statute

Permits the board to redact HIPAA-protected patient information from responses unless the patient provides authorization for disclosure

Allows redaction of personally identifiable information about individuals, except for their names

Mandates the board include a written notice with each fulfilled request warning that improper use or distribution of confidential information constitutes a criminal offense under Government Code Section 552.352

Repeals Section 154.055 of the Occupations Code and takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative approval, or September 1, 2025 otherwise
