Lien inception for liens created under Section 53.021(3), (4), or (5) remains tied to the date of recording an affidavit of lien

Passed the Senate 31-0 on March 12, 2025, and the House 147-0 on May 8, 2025

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote of both chambers; otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
