State employees may be reimbursed for groceries purchased at grocery stores, supermarkets, or similar retail establishments when traveling on official state business

Groceries must be purchased the day before or the day of travel and consumed while the employee is away from their designated headquarters

Reimbursement is limited to a prorated portion of groceries consumed each day while traveling, and counts toward the meal expense limits set in the General Appropriations Act

State agencies must develop a policy authorizing grocery reimbursements before they can reimburse employees under this provision
