Adds chronically absent students (absent more than 10% of required instructional time within a school year or enrollment period exceeding 30 days) to the definition of "student at risk of dropping out of school"

Adds truant students (those who fail to attend school without excuse for 10 or more days within a six-month period) as a separate category of at-risk students

Requires school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to report through PEIMS the number of chronically absent students at each campus, disaggregated by whether they receive instructional services under dropout prevention programs

Requires truancy data to be disaggregated by whether the student is receiving instructional services under Section 29.081

Directs the Texas Education Agency to annually aggregate and make publicly available campus and district-level data on truancy and chronic absenteeism; effective September 1, 2025
