Proposes adding Section 36 to Article I of the Texas Constitution to establish a constitutional right to own, hold, and use any mutually agreed upon medium of exchange for trading and contracting

Protected mediums of exchange explicitly include cash, coin, bullion, digital currency, and privately issued scrip

Prohibits any government from prohibiting or encumbering the ownership or holding of any form or amount of money or other currency

Preserves the state's authority to choose which medium of exchange it will accept for payments made to the state

Would be submitted to voters at an election on November 7, 2023
